I am using the film "Orphan" (2009) as an example because I want my title and Tagline to look similar to this. The reason why I want my title and tagline to look similar to this is because I like the fonts that have been used.

Title : Where is it placed?

"Orphan", positioned right in the centre

Tagline : Where is it placed?

"There's Something Wrong With Esther", positioned right at the top of the poster

I have decided that the Title for my film poster will be "Borderline" and I want the title to be similar to the font of

"Orphan" (2009)

Differences in Title and Tagline with other film genres : Comedy

"We're The Millers" (2013) "Orphan" (2009)

What are the differences in Title and Tagline ? :

The title font in "We're the Millers" is shown off in bright yellow letters, this catches the audience's attention, and also lets them know that the film is going to be a comedy, because the colour Yellow usually signifies happiness.

The title font in "Orphan" is a creepy and almost childlike font, with the tagline saying "There's something wrong with Esther", This clearly tells the audience that the film is going to be scary, because if something is considered wrong, it usually means something bad.

Differences in Title and Tagline with other film genres : Romance

"Titanic" (1997) "Dead Silence" (2007)

What are the differences in Title and Tagline ? :

The title font in "Titanic" is seen in bold white letters, with a tinge of Yellow. This catches the audience's attention, and the use of White and Yellow together create a good colour combination.

With the tagline stating "Nothing on Earth could come between them", this tells the audience that the film is going to be about love, because it shows that the characters have a powerful bond.

The title font in "Dead Silence", uses white letters as well, however the font glows.

With the tagline stating "You scream, you die", This tells the audience that the film is going to be scary, because the words "scream" and "die", have connotations with fear.

Now that I have researched titles and taglines in thriller films and how they are different to other film genres, I will now research different types of thriller posters.
