Task 1 - Music Production Research
What are the main differences between Production music & Commercial music?
Firstly, one difference between Production music and Commercial music is that unlike commercial, production music can be available for general use. This technically indicates that you do not need permission from the copyright owners.
What are the four rights in Commercial Music?
- Sync rights
- Dubbing rights
- Mechanical rights
- Performance rights
What is the most cost effective option for music in a video?
What is a "creative commons licence"?
A creative commons license is a type of public copyright that is used when authors want to allow the audience the right to share, use and edit upon the work that the authors have made.
What do you need to do to make your music "legal"?
To make your music legal, you need permission from both the owner of the sound recording, and the copyright owner.
Task 2 - Create a video to promote Scott Holme's production music

Step 1:
The track that I have decided to use is called "The Upside Down" by Audiobinger, and comes from the album "Quarantine Beats Vol. 1". I have chosen this song because unlike the other tracks, I thought it stood out from the crowd. The type of license that I got was called "Tribe Of Noise PRO"
Step 2:
After listening to the track, I have decided to label it underneath the "Slow Electronic" genre. I will try and edit peaceful videos
Step 3:
I have decided to make a promotion towards a new nightclub called "Euphoria"

Here are the videos that I have chosen to edit with the audio
Here is my final video, hope you like it !!
