Mainly Long & Close - Up Shots

What is the length for most trailers?

Trailers shouldn't be longer than two minutes

Does watching a trailer make you want more information?

It depends on the film trailer. Some film trailers can show an overload of clips from the film, and others only show tiny clips of the film

What is the primary purpose of a trailer?

The primary purpose of a trailer is to highlights the special clips of a film, and attract the general public

Why do trailers tell us who is starring in the film?

We as the audience are told who is starring in the film so that it gives us more information.

Who is the audience for the trailer that you have chosen?

I would say that the audience for Run (2020) would be people who love dark/creepy films

At what point in the trailer are we told the name of the film?

We as the audience are given the name of the film right at the end of the trailer

How does the trailer tell us who is starring in the film?

The trailer doesn't directly tell you who is starring in the film, i think the trailer does this for two reasons: The first reason could be that Sarah Paulson is a very famous actress, and most people already know who she is, or the trailer might be purposely not telling the audience to make them more interested in the film

What clues does the music give to show what type of genre the film is?

The music starts off pretty calm, and as trailer continues, the music gets louder and louder which could metaphorically show that things are starting to get worse

What can you say about the voice over of the film?

Sarah Paulson does the voice over for this film. I think she does a good job of portraying a psycho mother

What information are we given at the end of the trailer?

Right at the end of the trailer, the teenage daughter finds out her mother's darkest secrets

I would say that the audience for The Open House (2018) would have to be fans of paranormal horror

Similar to the Run trailer, we as the audience are given the name of the film right at the end of the trailer

Similar to the Run trailer, the trailer doesn't directly tell the audience who is starring in the film

What clues does the music give to show what type of genre that the film is?

The music to the film starts off as pretty normal, but then as things take a dark turn, the music turns into really loud violins

What can you say about the voice over of the film?

The voice overs in the film trailer consist of lines that the characters say in the film. This adds tension to every scene

What information are we given at the end of the trailer?

The mother and son are being haunted by the evil spirits, but they are working together as a family to fight back
